Metandienone is a androgen and anabolic steroid (AAS) and is often used because of its affordability and effectiveness for bulking cycles. It is used for physique- and performance-enhancing purposes by competitive athletes, bodybuilders, and powerlifters.
It is believed that metandienone is the most widely used AAS for the above mentioned purposes, although it was formerly approved and marketed as a form of androgen replacement therapy for the treatment of hypogonadism in men.
